The Details Of My GE Front Load Washer And Dryer Combo
I would like to tell you about my latest purchase. I am so excited I want everyone to know! So, please allow me start at the beginning. I had been using the same washer and dryer for a long time. My former laundry room duo was a GE product as well. I purchased the set appx. 14 years ago. The washer loaded from the top and both of them were designed for larger loads and heavy duty use. At the time of that purchase my children were still at home and I needed that feature. But now my lifestyle has changed. So we will fast forward 14 years and access the current situation leading up to the recent purchase of my brand new GE front load washer and dryer set.
My boys are now grown up and doing their own laundry so I not longer have a need for the heavy duty features of the past. Also, I have moved into a smaller house so my living space has decreased as well. I was actually interested in purchasing a new washer and dryer but did not want to do so until it was really necessary. So my plan was to continue using what I had as long as it served me well.
A few weeks ago as I was doing my weekly household chores, laundry was the next thing on my to do list. I love doing laundry. I love the smell of clean, fresh towels and sheets as they are folded and placed on their shelves in the linen closet. I placed a load of white clothes in the washer, added Tide and bleach and continued with my chores. All of a sudden I heard a long noise coming from the laundry room! I ran to see what the noise was and suds were all over the place. There was also a smell of rubber burning. I attempted to reset the washer after cleaning up the mess but it would not start.
So, I called the repairman who proceeded to tell me that the motor was gone and it would be expensive to repair. So the decision was made to replace the washer and dryer. I have always been a fan of GE products so I knew that the new set must be made by GE. The next question was what style did I want? I had thinking for a while about switching over to the GE front load washer/dryer combo. So, this seemed llike the perfect time to go shopping! So off I go on a shopping expedition! I went to all of the local appliance dealers because I always compare prices and service. Several of the local dealers offered the GE washers and dryers.
So, now it was a matter of finding who offered the best price and could deliver right away! A decision was made! I found a store that had the washer and dryer on sale and they would be able to deliver it tomorrow! I had planned to get a front load dryer and and a top load washer only because that was what I had always used. But since the set was on sale, I decided to go ahead and get both the GE front load washer and dryer. I am so glad that I did!
The set that I purchased is the stackable set which means the dryer is positioned on top of the washer. This is a big space saver which makes my laundry room a lot more functional. I simply LOVE my new combo! It has so many great features! The GE front load washer has 3 different load selections as far as water temperature for wash and rinse cycle, size selections for small, medium or large, a seperate bleach dispenser, a seperate fabric softner dispenser and as a bonus my grandson can reach the door so he can help me do the laundry!
The GE front load dryer is the best as well! It has several different settings ranging from fluff to very hot. I love having lots of choices! I use the fluff setting if I just want to freshen somethinig up. I use the hot setting for towels and jeans. The lint dispenser is very easy to reach which makes it easier to empty after every load. So if you are in the market for a new washer and or dryer, let me encourage you to consider the GE front load washer and dryer combo. I am sure you will be as pleased as I am!
